{"id":108,"date":"2013-12-09T21:47:15","date_gmt":"2013-12-09T21:47:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goldtek.ca\/?p=108"},"modified":"2024-12-01T17:51:28","modified_gmt":"2024-12-01T17:51:28","slug":"war-thunder-update-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goldtek.ca\/?p=108","title":{"rendered":"War Thunder Update Issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The other day I went to play War Thunder and the launcher required an update to the game to proceed. \u00a0I naturally agreed whole-heartedly, without reservation, and let things happen.<\/p>\n<p>Getting towards the end of the process, an error message pops up, saying that I did not have the required permissions to perform certain actions, actions that were never defined.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, I allowed full control over the whole War Thunder folder, and it&#8217;s contents, and that solved the issue. \u00a0If you have the time, you could add Full Control to each user or group attached to the folder (Possibly &#8216;Trusted Installer&#8217; would actually save the day) one at a time to see which is the user\/group that needs the access to the War Thunder folder.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The other day I went to play War Thunder and the launcher required an update to the game to proceed. \u00a0I naturally agreed whole-heartedly, without reservation, and let things happen.
